The most important event for Võru sports life was the opening of a new sports hall which excels in the quality of its building and sporting opportunities. The major sports events of southern Estonia and also competitions of state and international importance will be held here.
One of the best known events is Võru Roller which is held every summer and is attended by top sportsmen both from Estonia and abroad.
The young people who are interested in sports can practice it in Võru Sports School and various sports clubs that specialize in judo, football, riding, basketball, karate, gymnastics and aerobics.
Exercising in one’s leisure time is made possible by several facilities: tennis courts, the fields where beach volleyball can be played, a basketball court, a skatepark near Lake Tamula and a minifootball field covered with artificial lawn in Olevi Street.
Welcome to Võru!
